MMU Cheshire

MMU Cheshire is situated in Crewe; South Cheshire (40 miles south of Manchester City Centre).The campus is walking distance from Crewe Railway Station and is a small bus ride away from Crewe’s town centre. Recently MMU Cheshire has been totally refurbished including a brand new purpose – built performance studio. MMU Cheshire is located in a very rural and green area and has a real family atmosphere. Although Crewe doesn't have an abundance of attractions, it has many places close by which have plenty to do, such as Hanley and Manchester.

Crewe

Local Attractions

Crewe Hall is situated 3 miles from the train centre and is a great tourist attraction to visit. Recently renovated as a luxury spa.

Crewe Heritage Centre for those history buffs is also located near by.

The town centre is also more than adequate for students looking for the essentials, with all the usual high street shops present.Which also includes the main destination for shopping in Crewe The Market Shopping Centre. 

This campus offers students the benefits of the vast resources MMU has to offer whilst also offering a unique green out of town campus feel. Giving much more of a community and small university feeling but having the benefits that MMU has to offer will give students an interesting choice if city life isnt for you.

Nightlife

Whilst not having the crazy nightclubs that main campuses in Manchester may have, Crewe has a selection of good bars of a weekend as well as the local student union for cheap drinks! It also has a night club named Steam located in the centre which is highly popular with students.

Located a few miles down the road is a small town called Nantwich which has several bars and small clubs (Including Greggs) or Newcastle Under Lyme to keep you entertained if you need a small but local change of scenery!

Sport

The only recognisable sports team in Crewe is Crewe Alexandra Football Club who play in League 1, they offer cheap tickets for students so its worth a visit.
