Manchester Metropolitan University

Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) has its main campus in the centre of Manchester (All Saints Campus) but also has another key campus in Crewe, Cheshire (MMU Cheshire). It is the 3rd largest university in the UK based on student numbers.MMU gained university status in 1992, and continued to grow ever since, which was shown when they obtained the Crewe and Alsager College of Higher Education in 1992 and the Manchester School of Physiotherapy in 2003.In the last 10 years MMU have struggled in the university ratings, however, they are spending a vast amount of money to improve this, not only improving their facilities but also the overall student experience.

Based on ratings it seems MMU does well in Sports Science, Social Policy & Administration, Education, Philosophy, Engineering: Materials & Mineral but struggles in Biological Sciences, Business Studies, Computer Science, Law, English.
